So on the 15th of May I meet up with a small group of cruisers from the Wasatch Cruisers to run a portion of the old Central Pacific Railroad, stopping at the Sun Tunnels, the township sites of Terrace and Kelton and then making our way to the Spiral Jetty.
The trip took us from Wendover, Nevada to just north of Brigham City, Utah covering approximately 170 miles of dirt roads.
Well, enough of the rambling on to the photo's:

It's surprising that after all these years the route is still straight.
Terrace or what's left of it

The trip overall was mostly uneventually up until the time we were leaving the Jetty. The yellow/green FJ posted a few photo's back up decided to throw a fit and sending the fan into the radiator. Needless to say it had to be towed about 30 (about half dirt road, half paved) miles to the nearest town until the owner could come back and get it with a trailer.
The part of that trip that scared us the most was descending a hill with the vehicle in tow. Kind of a little pucker factor to it. :Wow1::Wow1:
Besides that the trip was great and everyone had a good time.

Farmington Canyon 5-9-10
Decided to run up Farmington Canyon today to see what the road conditions were. The main road up is in great shape and you don't hit snow line until your about 3/4 of the way up to the junction of Francis Peak and Skyline Drive.
However, both roads are still closed. Skyline still has about a good 2-3' of snow on it. Francis Peak is clear as far as the eye can see but probable still snow packed towards the top.
Despite the roads being closed it wasn't a total waste of time (kind of fiqured as much)the melting snow made for some great water shots. That and I ended up filling up a Walmart bag full of nails and spent casings.
The condition of Skyline Drive. My guess is there is probable still a good 2-3' of some in this area, probable more up top.
Meet a this little fella along the way.
